Automobile Accident Resulting in Low back injuries, an L4 fracture
Description:
A drunk driver crossed over the center line and caused a head-on collision, causing multiple injuries by all parties. Our client, a front seat passenger of the other vehicle, wearing his seatbelt, lost consciousness at the scene, was transported by ambulance to the hospital and was diagnosed with burst fracture in his back. The drunk driver had insurance of only $10,000.00 and we were able to find underinsured motorist coverage of $100,000.00, for a total recovery of $110,000.00. Bad drivers, including drunk drivers, typically have little to no insurance coverage.
This case illustrates the importance of wearing a seatbelt and having underinsured motorist coverage in your insurance policy, the highest limits you can reasonably afford.
