Automobile Accident resulting in back injury (Disc Herniations & Pain Management)
Description:
A Dodge Ram Four Door Extended Cab Pickup truck and loaded trailer caused a severe rear-end collision, totaling our client's vehicle. Afterwards, our client was diagnosed with multiple lumbar disc herniations, also exhausting pain management treatment options including three lumbar epidural steroid injections, a lumbar medial branch block, also having a radiofrequency ablation procedure. Investigation revealed the at fault driver had Bodily Injury liability coverage of $10,000 only, without any other insurance coverage known. Additional investigation revealed our client's automobile insurance policy had Uninsured Motorist coverage of $100,000, allowing for total recovery of $110,000.00. According to the Orlando Sentinel, a new study finds 20% of Florida drivers are on the road without insurance, the sixth highest rate of uninsured drivers in the nation.
Fortunately, our client was smart and had Uninsured Motorist coverage within his automobile policy; and as noted above, this was a real difference maker in his recovery.
